Korte & Coats Named To #HLTF Indoor All-Academic Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced the 2023 Valeo Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team Wednesday, with the Cleveland State duo of Ariana Coats and Hannah Korte both being recognized. Korte earns her fourth #HLTF All-Academic honor, while Coats picks up the award for the first time in her career.

Coats, who is a member of the CSU Honors College, currently owns a 4.00 GPA and is pursuing a degree in chemistry. As an annual Cleveland State University Dean's List honoree, Coats has also been recognized as an Athletic Academic Honors recipient.

On the track, Coats recorded three top-10 finishes during the indoor campaign, including a second-place finish at the Tom Wright Open in the Mile Run. In addition, Coats notched a top-15 finish in the 5000 Meter Run at last month's Horizon League Indoor Championships.

Korte, who has now combined for six cross country and track & field All-Academic honors, currently owns a 3.98 GPA studying mechanical engineering. As a member of the CSU Honors College, Korte is an annual member of the Cleveland State University Dean's List.

Throughout the indoor season, Korte notched two top-15 finishes, with one coming in the 3000 Meter Run at the Hillsdale Wide Track Invite and the other coming in the 5000 Meter Run at the Spire Collegiate Indoor Games.
