Cleveland State Track & Field Set To Open Outdoor Season At Shamrock Invitational

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track and field team will open its 2023 outdoor campaign this weekend, participating in the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational March 16-18 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. 

This weekend's Shamrock Invitational will be the first of eight outdoor meets for the Vikings this season.

The Vikings are coming off an indoor season in which they recorded 30 top-10 individual finishes, including a pair of event wins from Ana Crangle (Mile) and Savannah Shaver (600 Meters). 

Most recently, Karly Klaer paced the Vikings at the Horizon League Indoor Championships, recording a 12th place finish in the Shot Put. In addition, Ariana Coats also tallied a top-15 individual finish, placing 14th in the 5000 Meter Run.
