CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team will open the month of February at the Akron Invitational this weekend, with action taking place on Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4.

The Vikings will open the weekend with the 5000 Meter Run on Friday evening, before returning to action with field and running events beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

This weekend's meet will be the sixth indoor meet of the season, with just two more tune-ups before the 2023 #HLTF Indoor Championships.

Last time out, the Vikings had a strong showing at the Hillsdale Wide Track Invite, with Jillian McArdle (Long Jump), Karly Klaer (Shot Put), Tara Will (Mile), Madelynn Madison (Mile), and Hannah Korte (3000) all posting top-10 finishes in their respective events.
