Cleveland State Track & Field Returns To Action At Marshall Classic

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team will return to action this weekend, continuing its indoor slate at the Marshall Classic on Saturday, January 14.  

Saturday's Marshall Classic will be the third meet of the indoor season for the Vikings, and the first since December 10, 2022. Field events are slated to get underway at 10:30 a.m., while running events are set to begin at 12:00 p.m.

Through the first two indoor meets of the season the Vikings have combined for 16 top-10 finishes, including a pair of event wins from Ana Crangle (mile) and Savannah Shaver (600) at the Tom Wright Open.

So far this season, eight student-athletes have made their Cleveland State track & field debuts, while the trio of Ariana Coats, Zoe Dellaserra and Madelynn Madison have set personal-best times. 

The Marshall Classic will be the first of three events for the Vikings during the month of January, as they will also take part in the Mastodon Invitational (January 21) and Hillsdale Wide Track Invite (January 28).
