Cleveland State Track & Field Closes Out 2022 Outdoor Season

ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Cleveland State track & field team closed out the 2022 outdoor season Sunday, closing out action at the Horizon League Outdoor Championships.  

After qualifying for the finals of the 400 Meter Dash with a personal-best time in Saturday's prelims, Ervin once again set a personal-best in the finals of the event on Sunday, crossing the finish line in a time of 58.41 to earn an eighth place finish.

Cleveland State had a quartet of representatives in the 5000 Meter Run, paced by Kiannah Sarver who posted a time of 19:15.27. Emily Nemeth crossed the finish line in a personal-best time of 19:26.89, while Hannah Korte posted a time of 19:50.40 and Ariana Coats recorded a time of 20:45.25.

The Vikings earned a podium finish in the 4x400 Meter Relay on Sunday, as Ervin, Margaret Smith, Zoe Dellaserra, and Madelynn Madison recorded a season-best time of 4:03.66 to finish eighth overall.

This weekend's #HLTF Outdoor Championships marked the eighth and final meet of the outdoor season – the first outdoor season during the Jason Hudson era.
