Cleveland State Track & Field Set For #HLTF Outdoor Championships

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team will close out the outdoor campaign this weekend, participating in the 2022 #HLTF Outdoor Championships. This year's meet will be hosted by Oakland and will run Friday, May 6 through Sunday, May 8. 

#HLTF CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL 

This weekend's meet will mark the eighth and final meet during the outdoor campaign. Fans will be able to follow along throughout the meet with live video.

Javelin will begin at 5:00 p.m., with running events slated to begin at 7:20 p.m.

Running events will begin at 12:00 p.m. 

Through the first seven meets of the outdoor campaign Cleveland State has posted 24 top-10 finishes, including individual event wins from Dynesty Ervin (200) and Margaret Smith (400).

This weekend will mark the first #HLTF Outdoor Championship during the Jason Hudson era – and second overall #HLTF Championship – as Hudson took over the reigns of the program back in August. After serving as the head cross country coach since 2018, Hudson was promoted to head coach cross country and track & field prior to the 2021-22 academic year.
