Ervin Wins 200 Meter Dash At Mountaineer Invite

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Cleveland State track & field team competed in its final tune-up before the Horizon League Championships on Saturday, recording six top-five finishes, including an individual event win from Dynesty Ervin in the 200 Meter Dash.

Ervin paced the Vikings in sprint events, winning the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 25.83 and placing second in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 58.79. Zoe Dellaserra also ran in the 200 Meter Dash, placing third with a time of 26.24.

Sara Timberlake and Colette Conway both represented the Vikings in the 400 Meter Hurdles, Timberlake placing fourth (1:13.28) and Conway placing fifth (1:16.40).

The Vikings had a trio of runners in the 800 Meter Run, led by Margaret Smith who placed sixth with a time of 2:17.75. Madelynn Madison posted an eighth place finish for the Vikings in the event (2:24.99), while Anna Umlauf finished 15th (2:36.55).

Brooke Armbruster was Cleveland State's lone field competitor on the day, placing third in the Javelin with a mark of 17.47.

Cleveland State will return to action at the 2022 Horizon League Outdoor Championships next weekend, with action taking place Friday, May 6 through Sunday, May 8 at Oakland University.
