Cleveland State Track & Field Set For Final Tune-Up At Mountaineer Invite

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team will compete in its final tune-up before the Horizon League Championships this weekend, taking part in the Mountaineer Invite on Saturday, April 30. 

This will mark the seventh meet of the season for the Vikings, and the final meet during the month of April. 

Cleveland State will be one of eight teams competing this weekend, including Horizon League opponent Youngstown State.

Last time out, the Vikings recorded multiple personal-bests at the Jesse Owens Invite, including a handful of top-20 finishes from Dynesty Ervin (400), Brooke Armbruster (Javelin), Sara Timberlake (400H), Colette Conway (400H), and the 4x400 Meter Relay team. 

Cleveland State will be prepping for the upcoming 2022 Horizon League Outdoor Championships, which will be hosted by Oakland Friday, May 6 through Sunday, May 8.
