Cleveland State Track & Field Set For Cherry Blossom Invite

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team will return to action this weekend, participating in the Cherry Blossom Invite hosted by Ohio University on Saturday, April 16. 

Saturday's Cherry Blossom Invite will mark the fifth meet of the outdoor season for the Vikings, and will be one of three final tune-ups for Cleveland State before the Horizon League Championships in early May.

Last time out, the Vikings posted four top-15 finishes at the Golden Grizzlies Invite; Zoe Dellaserra (long jump, 200), Colette Conway (400H) and Margaret Smith (800). For the year, Cleveland State has now tallied 15 top-15 finishes, including an event win from Smith in the 400 Meter Dash at the Shamrock Invite.

Through the first four meets of the outdoor campaign 11 Vikings have recorded 17 personal-best times, including Kiannah Sarver who owns the fifth fastest time among league runners in the 10,000 Meter Run.
