MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Cleveland State track & field team opened its 2022 outdoor slate Thursday afternoon, participating in the 10,000 Meter Run at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational.

Cleveland State's Kiannah Sarver placed eighth overall in the 10,000 Meter Run, crossing the finish line in a time of 41:36.56. Ariana Coats also began the 10,000 Meter Run for the Vikings, but pulled out before the race finished.

The Vikings will return to action at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational tomorrow, with participants in the Long Jump, 100 Meter Dash, 400 Meter Dash, and 800 Meter Run.
