Cleveland State Track & Field Set To Open Outdoor Campaign At Alan Connie Shamrock Invite

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team is set to open its 2022 outdoor campaign this weekend, participating in the Alan Connie Shamrock Invite in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Thursday, March 17 through Saturday, March 19.

This weekend's Alan Connie Shamrock Invite marks the first of eight outdoor events for the Vikings this season.

Fans will be able to follow along live throughout the weekend, with live video and live results available on the CSU Track & Field Schedule.

The group of Ariana Coats, Colette Conway, Kiannah Sarver, and Sara Timberlake will be making their CSU outdoor debuts this weekend, while Dynesty Ervin enters the outdoor portion of the season as the lone Viking in the CSU Record Book. Ervin owns two of the top-five times in the 400 Meter Dash, recording times of 59.34 and 1:01.08 last season.

This weekend's meet will mark the first outdoor event during the Jason Hudson era, as Hudson took over the reigns of the program back in August. After serving as the head cross country coach since 2018, Hudson was promoted to head coach cross country and track & field prior to the 2021-22 academic year.
