YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team opened its final weekend of the 2021-22 indoor campaign Saturday, participating in day one of the Horizon League Indoor Championships. 

Zoe Dellaserra was Cleveland State's lone representative in field events, placing 26^th in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.50. 

In distance events, Kiannah Sarver paced the Vikings in the 5,000 Meter Run, placing 20^th with a time if 19:55.07, while Margaret Smith led the Vikings with a 17^th place finish in the 800 Meter Run prelims (2:23.02).

Dynesty Ervin was Cleveland State's top sprinter on the day, placing 14^th in the 400 Meter Dash prelims with a time of 59.71 – the second fastest time of the season. Ervin also paced the Vikings in the 200 Meter Dash prelims, finishing with a season-best time of 25.82 to place 16^th overall.  

Day two of the Horizon League Indoor Championships will take place tomorrow (Sunday, February 27), with the Vikings set to compete in the 3,000 Meter Run and 4x400 Meter Relay.
