Track & Field Returns To Action At Marshall Women’s Classic

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team will resume its indoor season this weekend, participating in the Marshall Women's Classic on Saturday, January 15. 

Saturday's meet will mark the second of seven competitions for the Vikings during the indoor campaign, and will be the first event since December 3 when the Vikings opened the season at the YSU Ice Breaker.

Margaret Smith – 800
Savannah Shaver – 800
Hannah Korte – 3000
Kiannah Sarver – 3000
Ariana Coats – 3000  

Cleveland State Event Times: 
400 – 1:40 p.m.
800 – 2:15 p.m.
200 – 2:20 p.m.
3000 – 2:30 p.m.
4x400 – 2:55 p.m. 

Saturday's meet will mark the second event of the season for Dynesty Ervin, and the first event of the year for Colette Conway, Margaret Smith, Savannah Shaver, Hannah Korte, Kiannah Sarver, and Ariana Coats

Earlier this season, Ervin competed in the 60 and 400 Meter Dash at the YSU Ice Breaker, while the trio of Conway, Sarver and Coats will be making their CSU track & field debuts this weekend.

Saturday will mark the second meet during the Jason Hudson era, as Hudson took over the reigns of the program back in August. After serving as the head cross country coach since 2018, Hudson was promoted to head coach cross country and track & field prior to the 2021-22 academic year.
