Cleveland State’s Korte & Sharer Named To #HLTF Indoor All-Academic Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced the 2021 Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team Thursday afternoon, with the Cleveland State duo of Hannah Korte and Kamryn Sharer earning a spot on the 15-member team. 

Korte finished the season carrying a 3.97 cumulative GPA pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, while earning a spot on the Cleveland State Dean's List every semester she has been eligible. 

During the indoor campaign, Korte was Cleveland State's top distance runner, posting season-best times in the 3000 and 5000 meter runs. Korte's top 3000 meter run time came at the Mastodon Invite when she posted a time of 10:41.96 for a top-10 finish, while her best 5000 meter run time of 18:40.40 came at the #HLTF Indoor Championships. 

Sharer currently owns a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA studying finance, and earned a spot on the Cleveland State President's List during both the Fall and Spring semesters this season. 

Throughout the season, Sharer was Cleveland State's lone representative in the shot put, posting three top-five finishes through four events. Sharer posted a program record mark of 12.67 in a runner-up finish at the Mastodon Invite, while she earned a podium finish at the #HLTF Indoor Championships with a mark of 12.42.
