Cleveland State Track & Field Set For Mountaineer Twilight

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track and field team will compete in its final tune-up before the 2021 Horizon League Outdoor Championships this weekend, taking part in the Mountaineer Twilight hosted by West Virginia on Saturday, May 1.

Field events at the Mountaineer Twilight will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while running events are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.

Through the first four meets of the 2021 outdoor campaign the Vikings have posted 29 top-10 individual finishes, including five at the RedHawk Invitational last time out. Two of these top-10 finishes came from Tylar Mixon, as she finished third in the 200 and seventh in the 100 – marking the second time during the outdoor slate that she has posted multiple top-10 finishes in the same meet.

2021 OUTDOOR RESULTS BY EVENT | RECORD BOOK 

Entering Saturday's meet, six Vikings have posted 14 marks that rank in the top-five in the CSU Record Book, including program bests from Anna Brandt in the 800 Meter Run (2:14.98) and 1500 Meter Run (4:44.06), Kamryn Sharer in the Shot Put (11.82) and Kaelin Stahl in the Pole Vault (3.15).

This weekend's meet will be the fifth of six outdoor meets for the Vikings this year, with the final meet of the campaign – the 2021 Horizon League Outdoor Championships – set for May 7-9.
