Track & Field Continues Outdoor Season At Oakland Invitational

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team will continue its outdoor slate this weekend, participating in the Oakland Invitational on Saturday, April 10.

Last time out, the Vikings finished with six top-10 finishes at the Hilltopper Relays, including a pair of fifth place finishes from Anna Brandt in the 800 Meter Run and Kaelin Stahl in the Pole Vault. Tylar Mixon posted a pair of top-10 finishes in the 100 and 200 Meter Dashes, while Dynesty Ervin placed eighth in the 100 Meter Dash.

Cleveland State's 4x400 Relay team of Margaret Smith, Ervin, Brandt, and Allison Pankow also posted a top-10 finish, placing ninth overall at the Hilltopper Relays.

After just one outdoor meet the Vikings own five top-five marks in the CSU Record Book over the last five seasons – with the marks coming from Stahl (PV), Kamryn Sharer (SP), Pankow (400), Brandt (800), and Smith (800).

This weekend's meet will be the second of six outdoor meets for the Vikings this year, including the 2021 Horizon League Outdoor Championships which will be hosted by Youngstown State and will take place May 7-9.
