BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Cleveland State track and field team closed out its opening weekend of the outdoor season Saturday, posting five top-10 finishes on day two of the Hilltopper Relays.
Anna Brandt, who was running in her first meet of the 2021 campaign, posted Cleveland State's highest individual finish on Saturday, placing fifth in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:18.23. Brandt's time marks the second fastest in the 800 over the last five years.
The Vikings had a pair of top-10 finishes in the 100 Meter Dash, as Tylar Mixon placed seventh overall with a time of 12.58, while Dynesty Ervin finished right behind her in eighth with a time of 12.60.
Mixon also posted a top-10 finish in the 200 Meter Dash, placing ninth in a time of 25.49.
In the 400 Meter Dash, Allison Pankow placed 14th overall with a time of 1:02.54 – the fourth fastest time over the last five seasons.
The Vikings also had a top-10 finish in the 4x400 Meter Relay, as the quartet of Margaret Smith, Ervin, Brandt, and Pankow posted a time of 4:18.12 to finish ninth.
The Vikings will be in action next at the Oakland Invitational, which will take place on Saturday, April 10.
