FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Cleveland State track & field team continued its indoor slate this weekend, competing at the Mastodon Invitational hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne.

Cleveland State's top finish came in the 800 Meter Run, as Margaret Smith posted a time of 2:23.84 to finish third. Smith's time marked a season best in the event for the Vikings.

The Vikings recorded a trio of other top-10 individual performances on the day, as Kayla Zdanowicz placed seventh in the 400 Meter Dash (1:07.52), Hannah Korte finished seventh in the 3000 Meter Run (10:51.23) and Savannah Shaver placed ninth in the 800 Meter Run (2:32.63).

Cleveland State competed in the 4x400 Meter Relay for the first time this season, with the quartet finishing in a time of 4:30.42.

The Vikings will continue their indoor schedule next weekend, taking part in the YSU Mid-Major Invitational on Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30.
