Vikings Close Out Action At Akron Invitational

AKRON, Ohio – The Cleveland State track and field team wrapped up action at the Akron Invitational Saturday, with Anna Brandt recording the Vikings' top individual finish on the day.

Cleveland State's best individual finish came in the 800 Meter Run, as Anna Brandt placed sixth overall with a time of 2:15.61. Hannah Korte was Cleveland State's lone representative in the 3000 Meter Run on Saturday, as she recorded a top-15 finish with a time of 11:13.46.

Allison Pankow posted CSU's top time in the 200 Meter Dash Saturday (27.03), while Maritza Strong recorded a time of 1:04.41 in the 400 Meter Dash to represent the Vikings.

Azsah Bradley and Monica Johnson recorded Cleveland State's top times in the 60 Meter Dash and 60 Meter Hurdle prelims, respectively, with Bradley posting a time of 7.77 and Johnson crossing the finish line in 9.15.

The lone relay for the Vikings was the 4x400 Meter Relay, as the quartet of Mijah Collier, Brandt Dyamond Myers, and Dynesty Ervin finished with a time of 4:00.80.

Cleveland State will return to action at the Doug Raymond National Qualifier next weekend (Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15).
