Track & Field Returns To Action At Findlay Open

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team will return to action this weekend, continuing its indoor slate at the Findlay Open on Saturday, January 11.

Saturday's meet is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. with Field Events, while the Track Events are slated to begin at 12:00 p.m.

The Vikings will be one of two Horizon League schools competing at the Findlay Open, joining Northern Kentucky.

The Findlay Open will mark the second of eight indoor meets for the Vikings this season, and will be the first time back in action since the BG Opener on December 6, 2019.

Last time out, the Vikings recorded a trio of second place finishes at the BG Opener, including two from Monica Johnson in the 60 Meter Hurdles and 200 Meter Dash. In addition to the trio of second place finishes, freshman Dyamond Myers recorded a program record in her first collegiate meet, posting a time of 42.60 in the 300 Meter Dash.

BG OPENER RESULTS

Saturday's meet will mark the second outing under head coach Amber Williams, who joined the Vikings earlier this fall following stints at Ball State and Colgate.
