CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's track and field team will begin its 2017 season this weekend, participating in the Youngstown National Invitational on Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4.
On Friday, field events will begin at 4:00 p.m. while the running events will start at 5:00 p.m. On Saturday, field events get underway at 10:00 a.m. with the running starting at 1:00 p.m.
Cleveland State will be one of 20 teams competing at the YSU National Track & Field Invitational.
The 2017 Cleveland State Vikings have a 15-member roster, with seven track and field specific student-athletes and eight members from this year's cross country team.
The Vikings are under the direction of first-year head coach Madeleine Outman, a seven-year coaching veteran. As a student-athlete, Outman was a 13-time NCAA All-American and a four-time Academic All-American at Williams College.
