INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Cleveland State women's tennis team (18-8) dropped its match against UIC, 4-2 on Saturday afternoon. The Vikings will face Detroit in a match for third place at the Horizon League Championship.
The Vikings took two singles matches from the Flames. Freshman Sanda Bjelan defeated Grace Gill-Morlis at No. 4 singles, winning 6-3, 6-4. Sophomore Denisa Muntean won 6-3, 6-3 over Jenna Reisch at No. 6 singles.
UIC will face Butler in the championship match.
The Vikings take on Detroit on Sunday, April 27 at 9:00 a.m.
