YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Cleveland State women's tennis team closed out the weekend with a Sunday afternoon match at Eastern Michigan, dropping a 6-1 decision against the Eagles.
Cleveland State's lone point on the day came from Oihane Vicario at the top of the singles lineup, as she posted a 6-2, 6-4 straight-set win against Eastern Michigan's Prerna Vichare. With the win, Vicario improved to a team-best 4-1 this spring, while improving to 12-4 overall this season.
Despite dropping the doubles point, Cleveland State's top doubles team of Sima Heren and Bethany Yauch were able to pick up a 6-2 victory, improving to 12-5 overall this season and 3-1 this spring.
Cleveland State will be back in action with a pair of matches next weekend, traveling to West Virginia on Saturday, February 10 and facing Radford in a neutral site match on Sunday, February 11.
