Cleveland State Women’s Tennis Adds Mikaela Konstantinova For 2023-24 Campaign

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State women's tennis head coach Frank Polito announced the addition of Mikaela Konstantinova (Sofia, Bulgaria) for the upcoming 2023-24 campaign, with Konstantinova set to join the Vikings this fall with one year of eligibility remaining.

"I am so excited for Mikaela to be a part of the Viking Tennis Family," Polito said. "She has a wealth of experience playing high in the lineup throughout her career, and I'm looking forward to having her experience and leadership on our team this year."

Konstantinova will join the Vikings as a graduate transfer after spending four years at Alcorn State where she played throughout the top half of the singles lineup.

During her time with the Lady Braves, Konstantinova posted a 10-2 singles record in SWAC matches, including an undefeated mark last spring.

Prior to her collegiate career, Konstantinova captured a U18 National Tennis Championship, while earning Highest Honors at Private High School Meridian 22.

Konstantinova will join Hayley Sibbald who signed with the Vikings in May.
