Cleveland State Women's Tennis Sweeps #HLTennis Weekly Awards
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Following a 2-0 weekend the Cleveland State women's tennis team swept the Horizon League weekly awards, with Oihane Vicario picking up Singles Player of the Week honors and Tereze Vevere and Ella Franz taking home Doubles Team of the Week accolades. This marks the third time this season that the Vikings have swept both weekly honors. 
 
Last time out the Vikings picked up a pair of wins at IUPUI (5-2) and Northern Kentucky (5-2), improving to 13-7 overall and 4-1 in Horizon League play. 
 
Vicario picked up her fourth weekly honor - and second straight - after going 2-0 at No. 1 singles on the weekend. She tallied a 6-2, 6-4 victory at IUPUI before picking up a 6-7(8), 6-4, 6-3 win at Northern Kentucky, remaining undefeated against #HLTennis opponents at 5-0 on the year. 
 
Vicario has now won six consecutive matches, and stands at 18-14 overall this year and 13-7 at No. 1 singles this spring. 
 
Vevere and Franz went 2-0 on the weekend at No. 3 doubles, earning their first weekly honor of the season. The duo picked up a 6-1 victory at IUPUI before notching a 6-3 win at Northern Kentucky to remain perfect against #HLTennis opponents this year. 
 
The duo now owns a team-best 14-3 overall record this year, including an 11-3 mark this spring and a perfect 4-0 record against league opponents.
