INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After helping the Cleveland State women's tennis team to a 2-0 weekend in Horizon League play, sophomore Oihane Vicario has been named the #HLTennis Singles Player of the Week. This marks the third weekly honor for Vicario this season, while it marks a league-best sixth singles accolade for the Vikings. 

Last time out, Vicario and the Vikings picked up back-to-back wins against Milwaukee (6-1) and Chicago State (4-3), improving to 11-7 overall this year and 2-1 in Horizon League play. 

Vicario paced Cleveland State at the top of the singles lineup, picking up a pair of wins at No. 1 singles against Milwaukee and Chicago State. Vicario opened the weekend with a 6-4, 6-2 victory against the Panthers, then followed that up with a 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 win over the Cougars.  

The two wins last weekend extended her current singles win streak to four straight matches, while she has won seven out of her last nine outings.

The 2-0 weekend kept Vicario perfect in #HLTennis singles play this season (3-0), while she improved to 16-14 on the year and 11-7 in dual match play.
