INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - After posting a 2-0 singles record on the weekend, Cleveland State women's tennis sophomore Tereze Vevere has been named the Horizon League Singles Player of the Week. This marks the first weekly honor of the season for Vevere and the fourth for the Vikings.

Last time out, Vevere and the Vikings split their matches against West Virginia and Howard, improving to 8-6 on the season.

Playing at the No. 3 singles spot, Vevere went 2-0 on the weekend, improving to a team-best 18-9 overall this season. During dual matches only, Vevere is 9-5 and has won three straight matches.

Vevere notched a 6-1, 7-5 victory against West Virginia to open the weekend, while she picked up a 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 win over Howard to close out the roadswing.
