Cleveland State Women’s Tennis Falls At West Virginia, 5-2

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The Cleveland State women's tennis team returned to action Saturday morning, dropping a 5-2 decision at West Virginia.

Cleveland State's two points on the day came in singles play, as Tereze Vevere earned a win at No. 3 singles and Sima Heren picked up a victory at the No. 4 spot.

Vevere, who now has a team-best 17 singles wins on the season, posted a 6-1, 7-5 victory at No. 3 singles to mark her second straight win.

Heren earned a 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(1) win at the No. 4 spot, extending her current win streak to three straight matches and improving to a team-best 9-4 this spring.

The Vikings will have a quick turnaround now, as they will stay in Morgantown to face Howard in a neutral site match tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.
