Cleveland State Women’s Tennis Travels To Cincinnati For Lone Match This Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team will continue its 2023 spring season with a single match this weekend, traveling to Cincinnati for a 5:30 p.m. match on Friday, February 17. 

Match #10 | at Cincinnati | Friday, February 17 | 5:30 p.m.

Friday's match at Cincinnati will mark the 10th match of a 21-match slate for the Vikings this season, and will be the second contest of Cleveland State's current six-match roadswing.

Through four weeks of dual match play Tereze Vevere has a team-best 14-8 singles record on the year, while Bethany Yauch stands at 13-8 so far this season. In doubles, Vevere and Ella Franz have a team-best 8-1 mark, while Filippa Frogner and Selma Tounsi stand at 7-5.

Yauch, who is one of two Vikings with a team-high six singles wins in dual matches, is closing in on 50 career singles wins, entering Friday's match with 46 total victories. 

So far this season Cleveland State has earned three #HLTennis Singles Player of the Week honors (Yauch, Oihane Vicario, Sima Heren), along with one Doubles Team of the Week accolade (Fronger/Tounsi).
