Heren Named #HLTennis Singles Player of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the third straight week the Cleveland State women's tennis team has been honored by the Horizon League, as Sima Heren has been named the #HLTennis Singles Player of the Week.

Last time out, Heren and the Vikings split their matches against Bowling Green and Butler, picking up a 7-0 sweep over the Falcons before dropping a hard-fought 4-3 decision against the Bulldogs.

Heren went 2-0 at No. 4 singles, notching straight set wins in both matches. Heren opened the weekend with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Bowling Green's Hannah Neuman, and followed that up with a 6-2, 6-3 win against Norah Balthazor of Butler.

With the wins, Heren extended her current singles win streak to five straight matches, and now owns a team-best 6-1 record this spring. Overall this season, Heren stands at 8-3 in singles play.
