2022 #HLTennis Preseason Poll
Earlier this season, the Vikings were tabbed to finish third in the highly competitive seven-team Horizon League field, collecting 35 points to finish behind preseason favorite UIC and Youngstown State. This marks the 10th year that the Horizon League has released a preseason poll, with the Vikings selected to finish as a top-three team for the seventh time.

…2022 Horizon League Schedule
This year's Horizon League schedule will have a different look to it, as the Vikings will face all six Horizon League opponents just once throughout the month of April. Cleveland State will host Oakland, Milwaukee and UIC this year, while traveling to IUPUI, Northern Kentucky and Youngstown State.

Yauch Closing In On 20-Win Season
Entering Horizon League play, Bethany Yauch is closing in on notching a 20-win season, entering Friday's match against Oakland with a team-best 18-10 singles record this year. Yauch, who also has a team-best 11-6 record this spring, would mark the first 20-win campaign of her collegiate career with two more victories.

…Trio Of Vikings With Double-Digit Wins
Along with Bethany Yauch, three additional Vikings have reached the double-digit win mark for the season, as Sima Heren (12 wins), Tereze Vevere (15) and Oihane Vicario (16) have all posted 10+ singles wins. In dual matches only, Vicario owns a 10-7 record – with all 17 matches coming at the top of the singles lineup.

…Yauch & Tounsi Leading The Way In Doubles
Bethany Yauch is also part of Cleveland State's winningest doubles team so far this season, as she has teamed with Selma Tounsi to post a 10-8 record on the year, including a 9-6 mark this spring. Yauch and Tounsi have played the entire spring campaign at the No. 2 spot, and have won five out of their last eight completed matches.

Vikings At The MMTP
Friday's match against Oakland will be the first of three remaining home contests for the Vikings during the 2022 spring campaign, and just the second match inside the MMTP over the last month. Cleveland State's last appearance inside the MMTP came in a 7-0 sweep over Niagara.
