Cleveland State Women’s Tennis Continues Home Stand Against Toledo & Cincinnati

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis will return to action with a pair of matches at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion this weekend, hosting Toledo on Friday, February 18 and Cincinnati on Sunday, February 20.

Cleveland State enters the weekend standing at 6-2 on the season, most recently splitting its matches against Miami (Ohio) (L, 5-2) and Slippery Rock (W, 6-1).

This weekend's matches are part of a current six-match homestand for the Vikings, as they are slated to play 14 matches in the MMTP this season. So far, Cleveland State owns a 4-2 record at home this year, picking up wins against Western Michigan, St. Bonaventure, Duquesne, and Slippery Rock inside the MMTP.

Through the first four weeks of the spring campaign, four Vikings have reached double-digit singles wins on the year, led by Bethany Yauch who owns a team-best 13-6 record. Tereze Vevere and Oihane Vicario both have 12 wins on the season, while Sima Heren has 10.

In dual matches only, Yauch and Vicario stand at 6-2 this season, while Heren and Vevere are both 5-3.

In doubles action, Heren and Klara Mrcela own a team-best 4-1 record, while Selma Tounsi and Yauch are 4-3 on the year and Filippa Frogner and Vicario have picked up three wins.
