Cleveland State Women’s Tennis Selected Third In #HLTennis Preseason Poll

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 2022 Horizon League Women's Tennis Preseason Poll was released Wednesday morning, with Cleveland State tabbed to finish third in the competitive seven-team field. The preseason poll is voted on by the league's head coaches.

This marks the 10th year that the Horizon League has released a preseason tennis poll, with the Vikings selected to finish as a top-three team for the seventh time.

Cleveland State returns just three letterwinners from last season's team that advanced to the Horizon League Semifinals for the 11th straight year, including All-League Second Team honoree Klara Mrcela.

The Vikings are under the direction of fourth-year head coach Frank Polito for the 2022 spring campaign, who is in his 10th season overall on the Cleveland State sidelines.

Polito and the Vikings will have eight more weeks of non-league matches before opening their six-match #HLTennis slate in April.
