Cleveland State Women’s Tennis Finishes Fall Slate At Betsy Kuhle Invitational

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Cleveland State women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Betsy Kuhle Invitational Saturday, notching three singles wins and two doubles wins. 

The Betsy Kuhle Invitational marked the final of four fall events for the Vikings, as they will now be off until the Spring season starts in January. 

Oihane Vicario and Tereze Vevere both finished the weekend with perfect 3-0 singles records, as Vicario notched a 6-2, 6-3 win and Vevere earned a 6-1, 6-3 win on the final day of action – with both victories coming against Western Michigan. 

For the season, Vevere is now 7-4 in singles play, while Vicario is 6-5. 

Filippa Frogner picked up the final singles win for the Vikings on Saturday, as she notched a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Western Michigan. 

Cleveland State's two doubles wins on the day came from Klara Mrcela/Selma Tounsi (6-3) and Vicario/Frogner (6-2), with Mrcela and Tounsi notching their win against Western Michigan and Vicario and Frogner picking up their win against Oakland.
