Cleveland State Women’s Tennis Wraps Up 2021 Fall Campaign At WMU Fall Invite

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team will wrap up its 2021 fall campaign this weekend, participating in the WMU Fall Invite. The two-day tournament will take place Friday, November 12 and Saturday, November 13.

The Field
Cleveland State will be one of five teams competing this weekend, joining Marquette, Oakland, Northwestern, and the host Broncos. 

Last Time Out…
Cleveland State participated in the Rocket Invite, picking up a handful of singles and doubles victories. Klara Mrcela returned to the lineup for the first time this season after sitting out due to injury, appearing in doubles action with Tereze Vevere and Oihane Vicario.  

So Far This Season…
Sophomore Bethany Yauch leads the team with a 6-2 singles record, while Sima Heren and Selma Tounsi both have 5-3 marks on the year. Through the first three tournaments of their rookie campaigns, Tereze Vevere owns four singles wins, while Filippa Frogner and Oihane Vicario both own three singles victories.

Fall Lineup
This weekend's tournament will be the fourth and final event of the fall campaign for the Vikings, after also competing at the Eagles Invitational, Viking Invitational and Rocket Invite.
