Cleveland State Women’s Tennis Has Strong Doubles Effort To Close Rocket Invite

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team finished play at the Rocket Invite Saturday, posting a strong showing in doubles play to conclude the two-day tournament.

Cleveland State picked up wins in three of its four doubles matches on the day, with all three wins coming against Bowling Green. The Cleveland State tandem of Klara Mrcela and Tereze Vevere earned a 6-1 victory against the Falcons, while Sima Heren and Selma Tounsi posted a 6-2 win and Filippa Frogner and Oihane Vicario earned a 7-5 win against Bowling Green.

In singles action, Bethany Yauch earned the lone victory on the final day of the Rocket Invite, as she earned a 4-6, 6-3, 1-0(5) victory over Toledo's Patricia Anta. With the win, Yauch is now 6-2 on the fall, with the six wins marking a team-high.

Cleveland State will close out its fall campaign at WMU Invite, participating in the two-day tournament on Friday, November 12 and Saturday, November 13.
