CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team will play their final matches at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion during the 2021 campaign this weekend, hosting Northern Kentucky in a two-game series on Saturday, April 17 and Sunday, April 18.

Cleveland State extended its current win streak to five straight matches, picking up a pair of 7-0 sweeps at IUPUI. With the back-to-back wins against the Jaguars, the Vikings improved to 4-4 in Horizon League play, and have posted four straight 7-0 sweeps entering this weekend's series against NKU.
2021 Horizon League Schedule
This year's Horizon League schedule has had a different look to it, as the Vikings are facing the same opponent in back-to-back matches each week. Cleveland State's final home #HLTennis series will be against Northern Kentucky this weekend, while the Vikings will close out the regular season at Milwaukee next weekend.
Vasilescu Picks Up Second Straight #HLTennis Weekly Honor
Earlier this week, Miruna Vasilescu picked up her second straight #HLTennis Singles Player of the Week honor, becoming the first league player to earn multiple weekly accolades this year. Vasilescu picked up a pair of straight-set wins at No. 1 singles against IUPUI, remaining perfect in Horizon League play with an 8-0 record. The wins also extended Vasilescu's current win streak to 11 straight matches, while she owns a team-best 13-2 record on the year.
Avram & Lenoan On CSU Doubles Wins List
Entering this weekend's series against Northern Kentucky, Kateryna Avram and Blanche Lenoan rank eighth on the CSU Team Doubles Wins List with 21 victories as a tandem. For the season, Avram and Lenoan have a team-best 11-4 doubles record, including a 6-2 mark in league play.

Blanche Lenoan also earned a spot on the CSU Individual Doubles Wins List last time out, finishing the IUPUI series ranked 10th with 57 career doubles wins. Lenoan, who is tied for the team lead with 11 total doubles wins this season, needs three more wins to move into ninth place on the list.
