CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team will take a break from Horizon League action this weekend, hosting St. Bonaventure in a single match on Saturday, March 27.

Due to the conditions created by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Cleveland State will not allow spectators at any home matches during the 2021 campaign. 

Last Time Vs. St. Bonaventure…
Cleveland State picked up a 6-1 win over the Bonnies last year, earning wins at the top five singles spots along with the doubles point. Entering Saturday's match, the Vikings have won 11 straight against St. Bonaventure, with seven of these victories coming as 7-0 sweeps. 

Cleveland State In The MMTP
This weekend's match against St. Bonaventure will mark the fifth of what is scheduled to be a nine-match home slate for the Vikings during the 2021 season, as they will be calling the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion home for the sixth year. Since it's opening in 2016, the Vikings have posted a 37-13 record at the MMTP, including a pair of 9-1 campaigns during 2019 and 2017. 

Vasilescu Remains Perfect In #HLWTEN Play
After picking up a pair of wins at the top of the singles lineup against Youngstown State last weekend, Miruna Vasilescu remained perfect in Horizon League play, ending the weekend with a 4-0 #HLWTEN singles record. After two weeks of Horizon League play, Vasilescu is the only player to own a 4-0 league record at No. 1 singles.

Lenoan Goes 2-0 Against Youngstown State
Senior Blanche Lenoan picked up a pair of wins at No. 3 singles last time out, posting a perfect 2-0 record against Youngstown State to improve to 2-2 in Horizon League play. For the season, Lenoan owns a 7-3 singles record, while she owns 52 total victories on her career.
