Vikings Open UB Fall Invite

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Cleveland State women's tennis team began play at the UB Fall Invite Friday, playing one round of doubles and one round of singles.

"I thought we continued our strong play in doubles today, especially Klara and Lara who played a solid match from start to finish," head coach Frank Polito said. "We also played well in spurts throughout singles, but we need to work on maintaining that strong play from start to finish. We will come back out tomorrow and get after it with another chance to continue improving ourselves."

Cleveland State's top doubles team of Klara Mrcela and Lara Prosenjak picked up the lone win on the day, as they earned a 6-1 victory against Buffalo. Mrcela and Prosenjak are now 5-2 this fall, leading all Cleveland State doubles pairings.

The Vikings will continue play at the UB Fall Invite tomorrow (Saturday, November 2), with one round of singles and one round of doubles.
