Spindler Named To #HLWTEN All-League First Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced its women's tennis postseason honors Wednesday afternoon, with Cleveland State junior Isabella Spindler earning a spot on the All-Horizon League First Team. This marks the third All-League honor for Spindler, including her second First Team accolade.

Isabella's Previous Horizon League Honors: Freshman of the Year (2016), First Team All-League (2016), Second Team All-League (2017)

This season, Spindler has been Cleveland State's top singles player, owning a team-best 19-13 overall record, including a team-high 13-9 mark at No. 1 singles this spring. Against Horizon League opponents, Spindler finished regular season play with a 7-2 record, one of three league players to notch seven or more wins at the top of the lineup in #HLWTEN play.

Spindler has also been part of Cleveland State's top doubles team this season, owning a team-best 16-6 record with teammate Aleksandra Golawska. The duo's 16 wins is tied for eighth on the CSU Single-Season Wins List, while they are also tied for second on the CSU Career Wins List with 38 wins as a tandem.

For her career, Spindler enters tournament play with 44 career singles wins and 50 career doubles wins.

Spindler is one of just three Vikings all-time to be a two-time All-League First team member, and one of just five Vikings in program history to earn postseason accolades on three occasions.
