CSU Continues Action At The Viking Invitational

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team continued play at the Viking Invitational Saturday, picking up three singles wins and a pair of doubles victories.

The Viking trio to pick up singles wins on the day was Isabella Spindler, Blanche Lenoan, and Katy Quillin. Lenoan, who has a team-best 4-1 singles record on the young season, earned a 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (7) victory over West Virginia's Yvon Martinez, while Spindler posted a 6-7 (4), 6-4, 1-0 (4) win over Lyn Yuen Choo of West Virginia.

Quillin picked up her singles victory against Maddy Adams of Duquesne, posting a 6-1, 0-6, 1-0 (10) win.

Cleveland State's two doubles wins on the day came against Duquesne, as Aleksandra Golawska and Spindler posted a 6-2 victory and Victoria Bensimon and Princess Gbadamosi came out on top of a 6-4 decision.

Action at the Viking Invitational will wrap up tomorrow (Sunday, October 9), with one round of singles and one round of doubles beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion.
