Cleveland State Women's Swimming & Diving in Fifth With One Day Left at #HLSD Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Vikings held their fifth spot with one day remaining at the 2024 Horizon League Championships. Cleveland State ended the third day with 299.5 points.

The evening started with the 100-yard butterfly as Tess Walsh placed sixth with a time of 56.19. Audrey Butcher (57.89) came in 13th and Haley Palmer (57.96) was one-spot behind.

In the 400-yard IM, Kellsie Krisch clocked a 4:34.43, putting her in tenth. Four places behind her was Mackenzie Lipnick with a time of 4:39.05.

Ana Sofia Sousa won the B-final of the 200-yard freestyle after touching the wall in 1:52.22. Kayla Brock (1:54.79) placed 15th and Gretchen Chelf (1:54.81) in 16th.

The 100-yard breaststroke saw Grace Butcher (1:05.26) come in seventh and Ella Ciez (1:08.70) in 16th.

Audrey Butcher placed fourth in the 100-yard backstroke after clocking a 57.20. Three spots behind was Alaina Brown with a time of 57.91. In the B-final, Grace Chelf won after touching in 57.24.

In 1m diving, Brooke Eichel finished sixth with 250.05 points, and Mackenzie Erickson in 13th with 211.50 points.

Cleveland State capped off the evening with a fourth-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay as Audrey Butcher, Grace Butcher, Madison Taker, and Grace Chelf clocked a 3:51.02.
