Cleveland State Women's Swimming & Diving in Fifth After Day One of #HLSD Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Cleveland State is fifth with 69 points after the first day of the Horizon League Championships.

The Vikings started the championship with a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay as Audrey Butcher, Grace Butcher, Tess Walsh, and Grace Chelf finished in 1:43.19.

Brooke Eichel placed tenth in 3m diving with 223.85 points, moving up one spot from last season. Mackenzie Erickson scored 196.30 in her Horizon League debut, putting the freshman in 15th place.

The evening concluded with a fifth-place finish in the 800-yard medley relay as Ana Sofia Sousa, Mackenzie Lipnick, Kayla Brock, and Madison Taker clocked a 7:35.54.

The Vikings return to the pool tomorrow for the second day of the championships and the first full day of competition.
