Cleveland State Women's Swimming & Diving Ninth After Day One of Magnus Cup

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State is ninth with 71 points after the first day of the 2023 Magnus Cup Invitational. Akron leads with 470.5 points, FGCU is second with 305 points, and Northern Colorado is third with 279 points.

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Ana Sofia Sousa, Haley Palmer, Ella Ciez, and Grace Chelf placed tenth with a time of 1:34.76.

Grace Butcher placed 16th in the 50-yard breaststroke after touching in 30.02.

In the 500-yard freestyle, Madison Taker placed 20th with a time of 5:05.13.

Ana Sofia Sousa won the B-final of the 50-yard freestyle after touching the pad in 23.52.

The Vikings capped off the first night with a 13th-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay as Audrey Butcher, Grace Butcher, Tess Walsh, and Sousa finished in 3:54.61.
