CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State University swimming & diving coach Hannah Burandt announced the ninth signee on the women's side for the Class of 2023, Kayla Brock.

Brock is from Naperville, Illinois, and swam at Neuqua Valley High School. She was a state finalist in the 200-yard backstroke and 400-yard freestyle while being part of the state runner-up 800-yard freestyle relay team.

"I chose Cleveland State because I really liked the team, city, and potential to grow both academically and athletically."

Outside the pool, Brock graduated with honors and was the recipient of the Indian Prairie Scholar Award.

Brock is the daughter of Sean and Donna Brock and plans to major in biology.
