CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State University swimming & diving coach Hannah Burandt announced the eighth signee on the women's side for the Class of 2023, Mackenzie Erickson.

Erickson is from Canton, Michigan, and dove at Salem High School. In her time, she was a three-time Wayne County Champion. Erickson also competed at the State Championship during her final three years.

"I chose Cleveland State because of the good nursing program. When I visited, I fell in love with the school as well as the team."

Outside the pool, Erickson was an Honor Roll student.

Erickson dove for Legacy Diving, finishing fourth at AAU nationals in 1m in 2016.

Erickson is the daughter of Jill and Matthew Erickson and plans to major in nursing.
