CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State University swimming & diving coach Hannah Burandt announced the seventh addition on the women's side for the Class of 2023, Tess Walsh.

Walsh is from Saint Charles, Illinois, and swam at Saint Charles East High School. Walsh was a conference champion, team captain, and has top 10 times in school history.

"I chose Cleveland State for the amazing team and the different opportunities inside and outside of the pool."

Outside the pool, Walsh received Academic All-Conference honors and was a member of the Honor Roll. In addition, she was part of the National English Honor Society.

Walsh swam for Saint Charles Swim Team and was part of the sectional and state teams.

Walsh plans to major in business when she enrolls and is the daughter of Jamie and Betsy Walsh.
