CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State University swimming & diving coach Hannah Burandt announced the fifth addition on the women's side for the Class of 2023, Haley Palmer.

Palmer is from Erie, Pennsylvania, and swam at Cathedral Preparatory School. Palmer was named the Rookie of the Year at the Northwestern High School sports awards. As a sophomore, she helped her team win a State Championship. Also, that year, she was part of the medley-winning relay team and won medals in the 200 and 400 free relays.

In her junior season, Palmer anchored the winning medley relay team and won Gold at the PIAA State Meet.

"I chose Cleveland State because of the outstanding education as well as the team atmosphere and success of the swim program."

Outside of the pool, Palmer received Second Honors.
