Cleveland State Women's Swimming & Diving in Fifth at Midway Point of HL Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Vikings reached the midway point of the Horizon League Championships and are currently in fifth place.

The first race of the evening was the 500-yard freestyle which saw Ana Sofia Sousa place eighth after touching the wall in 5:05.79. Rachel Contich came in 12th, Mackenzie Lipnick in 15th, and Olivia Leonard in 16th.

In the 200-yard IM, Ellie Mckibbin came in seventh place after clocking a season-best time of 2:05.54.

Grace Chelf sprinted to a season-best time of 23.78 in the 50-yard freestyle which was good for sixth place.

Brooke Eichel claimed the sixth spot in 1m diving after putting up a score of 246.15.

Cleveland State capped off the evening with a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay as Chelf, Contich, Caroline Hughes, and Holly White matched the top time this season of 1:36.79.
