Cleveland State Women's Swimming & Diving Wins One HL Championship on Night Three

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Cleveland State heads into the final day of the Horizon League Championships in fifth place with 233.5 points. Oakland sits atop the leaderboard with 624 points.

The Vikings placed three in the top eight of the 400-yard IM led by Lauren Lewis as the runner-up with a time of 4:25.14. Kellsie Krisch placed fifth with a time of 4:31.34, and Agnes Bahr came in eighth with a 4:40.12.

In the 200-yard freestyle, Ana Sofia Sousa (1:50.59) edged out teammate, Rachel Contich (1:50.92) to win the Horizon League Championship.

Cleveland State capped off the evening with a fifth-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay. The team of Caroline Hughes, Grace Butcher, Madison Taker, and Rachel Contich clocked a 3:52.48.

Head Coach Hannah Burandt said, "We don't train for night one, we don't train for the first full day, we don't even train for today. We train for tomorrow's prelims. Today was an amazing day and tomorrow is ice cream."

Day Four Schedule
The final day of the Horizon League Championship will feature the 1650 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, and 400 medley relay.
